Using a library Shapes3d [link] I was able to try out creating tubes. In the library there are set things I could use for my drawing. I found tube [link] the most useful. Its the first time I’d used the java documentation, it was much easier to use than I’d thought in the past. I’d been to a few different ones, and not fully understood how they worked. i was pleased to find some really simple examples and everything listed in a really nice set out way. I needed to use the set size method and set world pos, to workout how it would draw.

The other think I had to use was an arraylist The ability to draw my tube ontop of another tube to create whole branch and then store that value so when i rotated the vector it didn;’t want to redraw each time, leaving me with the same problem as before. So now the brougham as in effect 2 array lists, one is the each branch stored in the array and then the second called fractal list, stores all the array lists details. This is the first drawing, although its only drawing one layer of lines.

This is it with the lights(); function from p3d added to the code and I’ve rotated so you can view it from the side.

A larger structure. Its very exciting to see the building of these structures over a period of time from blowing on them. They feel very different than the original line drawings. The solid lines are very industrial looking. You could very much imagine these been possible the 3d print, if I decide that’s the direction I would like to go.
